August 1, 2024 – Hamilton, NJ – Berkley Accident and Health, a Berkley Company, announces two key appointments to its Managed Care team, adding Dawn Carlsgaard as Senior Underwriter and Adam Albuerne as Underwriter. Dawn and Adam will be responsible for underwriting and risk selection for the company’s growing Managed Care business, including its Provider Excess and HMO Reinsurance solutions.  In their new roles, they will contribute to the continued success of Berkley Accident and Health and its distribution partners.

Dawn joins Berkley Accident and Health with over 30 years of experience in Managed Care underwriting and account management, in both the MGU and carrier spaces. Most recently, she served as director of client services for a large brokerage consulting firm and has a strong background in HMO and Provider Excess products.

Adam is an experienced underwriter, having worked at a large, national insurance carrier underwriting Managed Care prior to joining Berkley Accident and Health and recently spent a year underwriting pharmacy benefits and pricing medical software for a solutions provider. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a BA in Economics.
