Employers
Engaged employers are the key to a successful EmCap program.

EmCap affords employers the opportunity to gain more control over their health insurance and reduce its costs. However, EmCap programs are not for all employers, and each employer considering a program should carefully evaluate if it is right for their company. Interested employers should explore and understand the benefits of two common risk management approaches: self-funded employee benefit plans and group captives. While both approaches are widely used, EmCap combines the two together into an innovative solution for medium sized employers.

Is an EmCap program right for your company?

  1. Are you willing to spend time exploring and understanding the EmCap structure?
  2. Are you willing to engage your employees in conversations about reducing the cost of providing health benefits?
  3. Do you have the financial strength to accept some downside risk in return for retaining the profits normally earned by the insurance company?

If the answers to all of these questions is ‘yes’, an EmCap program might be worth pursuing. If you would like additional program information, we require a Non-Disclosure Agreement. If you would like to pursue an EmCap program, please have your broker or consultant contact us.
